Estevan Padilla is an award-winning Mexican-American filmmaker and photographer from Eagle River, Alaska. He began his career working on major motion pictures for Marvel, Warner Bros., HBO, and Skydance before transitioning to the commercial world, where he directed and produced campaigns for some of the world's largest brands.

Seeking stories that aligned more deeply with his values, Estevan shifted his focus to documentary filmmaking, taking on projects spanning Mexico, Somalia, China, and Cameroon. As a producer, his first film, THE 50, debuted at Doc NYC in 2022, screened at numerous festivals, and was acquired by Grasshopper Films for distribution on Apple TV and Amazon Prime. He has since moved into narrative storytelling, exploring themes of mental health, alternative medicine, identity, and radical forgiveness.

He is a Ranin Fellow with projects supported by SFFILM, BENDFILM, THE GOTHAM, UFO, and PEACE IS LOUD.

He is currently developing his debut feature.
